Phil's First Car
When I was going to college, I convinced my folks that I needed a car. The local undertaker got this 54 corvette at a car auction because it would not sell.  His wife didn't like the car because it has a manual top and it was too much trouble for her to put up or take down. Well he got a new 56 corvette and my father got this car for me.  I drove it for my sophmore year and durning the summer of 57.  When it was time to go back in the fall, I asked for the keys to "MY" car.  WELLLLLLLL, my father called me over to him and had me look at the pink slip. After I did , he wanted to know where it stated that it was "MY" car.  Of course it was in his name and Mom had to drive me to school to start the fall session.  In 1990 he calls me up and informes me  to come pick up "MY" car as he was tired of it.  WELL, I have it and it runs and I take it out when it is nice and it is not gonna rain and show it off. Of course, if someone wants to give me $75,000.00 for it, I would think about that but in the mean time, I have something that a lot of other people don't, so I guess that makes me different.
